Our client, a retailer of note, currently require the services of an additional service desk analyst within their IT infrastructure team. This is initially a contract position which has the potential to offer career growth and permanency further down the line. Based in Melbourne's south eastern suburbs, in a spacious and modern campus.
This position sits within a close knit team of professionals, who highly value co-operation and hold customer service in the highest regard. Each individual in the team has their own speciality and focus, but is cross-trained in at least one other discipline. The KPIs that they work to are measured as a team total so that the onus is always on delivering the best customer service and working as on coherent unit.
Technically, you will be supporting a typical MS Windows infrastructure which employs Windows 7 dekstops, Windows 8 tablets, Server 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010 with Active Directory. They use MS Office suite 2010 and a number of common COTS applications as well as several specialist retail systems for which full training will be provided. You will regularly field calls and handle incidents involving the POS and EFTPOS terminals.
Previous experience within retail IT support would be a real bonus, but the primary criteria that you will be judged on are your customer service, willingness to learn and your ability to work collaboratively with the team. As always in this line of work, communication skills, particularly over the phone are imperative. ITIL or Microsoft certifications are well regarded and previous help desk or service desk experiences is a must.
