[color=]Income tax, BAS and accounting fundamentals
[color=]?    Module 1: Income tax returns for individuals
[color=]?    Module 2: Income tax issues for sole traders, partnerships, trusts andcompanies
[color=]?    Module 3: Other business issues – depreciating assets, capital gains andaccounting
[color=]?    Module 4: Activity statements: GST, PAYG and more
[color=]?    Module 5: Activities and solutions
[color=]Learning outcomes
[color=]?    Complete an individual tax return using the 2012 Individual Tax Return form forcommon income and deduction items
[color=]?    Demonstrate an understanding of the basic tax treatments of business profitsfor individuals, partnerships, trusts and proprietary limited companies
[color=]?    Demonstrate understanding of the various methods for calculating decline invalue (depreciation) of assets and when each method is appropriate
[color=]?    Demonstrate how to determine if capital gains tax is payable, and whether anyconcessions, exemptions or rollovers apply to a capital gain
[color=]?    Demonstrate other obligations in the business activity statement (BAS)
