This is an opportunity to be the "go to" person for power and distribution transformers.  Our client is an established highly respected world-wide leader in power generation, transmission and distribution equipment and plant with installations throughout Australia.  Embarking on globalisation, they are developing a key world-wide engineering and support centre located in Sydney.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, as a member of a select team you will provide lead technical support to the transmission and distribution business.  This ranges from the initial RFQ, tendering, as well as post-tender, procurement and implementation stages.  It offers the challenge and scope of dealing with the overseas factories as the company's key technical expert in transformers in Australia.  This is a burgeoning area vital to the growth of the Division.  The company environment is one of mutual support in a truly quality organisation where individuals are respected for their expertise and contribution.  There will be opportunities for overseas travel and/or temporary placements.

The role requires a degree in engineering, preferably electrical, as well as experience with the application, design or manufacture of high and medium voltage power transformers and ancillary equipment.  The person in this role will utilise keen technical and presentation skills in an effort to educate sales in technical product differentiations, benefits, and customer options.

Ideally, you will speak Mandarin and have very good written and oral English skills.
