Nutrition for pregnancy woman - advice please

Hello,
Many friends in this forum are planning to have baby or already a mother-to-be or even mother of two.
Does anyone know or have experience on whether pregnancy woman could use some nutrition products like Vitamin, Mineral, Cal, protein during pregnancy period? Will these nutrition products have side effects to the mom and baby?
Is there any friend here are a mother-to-be? probably we could form a league here. Hehe.

folic acid is necessary, taking other multivitamins  is really your own preference...does your GP give you any advice?

I want to take some vitamins, but just concerned they have side effects to the baby.
No, My GP has not give me any advice yet, I probably will ask her next time when I see her. Did u know where I can buy Folic acid? Do I need subcription from GP?

you can get folic acid in any parmacy or my chemist, no prescription is needed.

Do blood test, consult with your GP and take nutrition products like Vitamin, Mineral, Cal, protein you need before and during pregnancy period.

Thanks all. Just so nervous. Have so many things to concern about. Now I have the feeling "bu yang er, bu zhi fumu en".
Does anyone know which public hospital is better in sydney area?
