About the Company:
Australian family business. Leading company in its industry. 50-100 employees national wide.
Company specialized in glass hardware for commercial and residential markets.
Most products are imported from China and Europe, plus a little bit manufacturing and assembly in house.
This position is based in Melbourne warehouse in Mt Waverley. Very convenient location just off M1 Blackburn Rd.
Very friendly team. All current staffs are local with Manager from Chinese background.
Position Title: Despatch Officer
Position Description:
Reporting to supply chain Manager, this position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining daily despatch and picking/packing of goods processes, ensuring despatch tasks are completed in an accurate and timely fashion.
This is a very hands on position and you are required to perform both computer and labour tasks. However we will be looking for this person to eventually take responsibility in a Leading Role.You will be working at the ground level alongside the Warehouse Staff completing all tasks required to ensure the Warehouse operates efficiently and effectively. Besides the main responsibilities listed above, your duties will also include:
* assisting supply chain manager in warehouse reporting
* assisting supply china manager in managing warehouse inventories
* giving guidance to other warehouse staffs as regarding to following the right process and procedures
Essential Requirements
* having a passion to develop a career in warehouse operations management
* conscientious, responsible - not a complainer
* a high standard of attention to detail
* high standard of work ethic
* must be very fluent in English and be able to communicate to people from diversified culture backgrounds with confidence
* must have good computer skills (outlook, excel are essential), and be able to learn new systems quickly
* be flexible with reasonable over time
* must hold permanent residential visa or an Australian citizen
Relevant work experience is preferred but not essential.
