刚才接到03开头的电话三姐自称是Optus给我送优惠

之前Miss了一次这个03开头电话，今天又打来了，三姐不说自己的名字，声称Optus什么mobile service先问Iphone使用有没有问题，我都用了iPhone1年了，怎么现在才问好不好，答：好用。
然后说可以给我手机打国际长途的优惠，一个月给10元，就可以用手机打100分钟的国际长途，答：No,我用VoiceIP打国际长途才5元一个月打100次unlimited 国际长途
记着问我家的电脑操作系统，答 XP
然后说Optus给我免费500GB/月的Optus Smart Saver的offer,需要我提交出生日期，答：No,我家TPG用的很好，一听到电话里要生日和住址通常我都不愿意再多说了，有一次还误把Ammi local小伙当成了骗子，死活不给他我的personal details.
然后又说可以给我的Mobile一个月45分钟的免费话费以奖励我对Optus的忠实，答：No,三姐终于投降了，88.
这个三姐会是骗子么？还是我又误会了人家？如果是我有事打电话去13，18的电话，给个人信息是应该的，可是给人反过来追着要，我就不乐意了。上次Ammi是在我在网上买了保险以后打我电话来核对我的个人信息，我死活不给，那个小伙子都急了，后来我听见他背景里有Aussie口音的人在说话，才觉得他可能是Ammi的consultant,才给了，接着人家还给我推荐Home insurance的offer,哦，这才更加像保险公司的sales consultant。

I received a call on Wednesday afternoon claiming they were from Optus trying to upgrade my phone and Internet service, thy also claimed to have all my personal information. They just tried to ring again but hung up before I answered. What is the go??

I also receieved a call from this number - called them back and there was a prerecorded message claiming to be from Oceania (?) and that if they tried to call me, they would try again (handy huh!).  They list an alternate number, and an email address (info@ocis.com.au).  Fortunately, they also have the option of removing your number from their calling list - DONE!

Yeah, we got a call from this number today, i expect its something to do with Optus Melbourne call centre.

I have also recieved calls from this number.  I did what Julie suggested above and called the number back.  Let the recording do it's speil and then you can request to have your number removed from their marketing list.  No more calls!!

We have received at least 5 calls over the past 1 1/2 weeks (since upgrading my phone) when they finally spoke to me they claimed to be from Optus and wanted to check if my reception was OK.  Having confirmed that it was (didn't realise it was a scam at this time) they have since rang back again.

Optus say it is nothing to do with them.

They just called me.. they knew my name.. so they have information from optus.. & I'm with optus.. they also knew that I had a HTC Smart phone & were asking about the reception..
they asked me for my credit card number & I gave it to them (ok just kidding)
I'm going to speak to optus & ask them if they are leggit or not

Hi as with Ben above I recieved a call from this number on the 30th jan, they knew I had a HTC smart phone and other details and asked what I thought of Optus, I said there ok, and said I did have one issue which I explained. He then asked for my date of birth, which I gave, (after reading these posts gulp!) he said the issue will be seen to. He then proceded to ask if I knew about several optus smartphone applications on the phone, I sad yes each time and I don't bother to use them. He wanted to know if I was happy with the reception. He obvously felt he wasn't going to get anywere so the conversation ended. I have just missed a call from them around an hour ago, and I will make sure I never pick up from that number again now.
