Attention! People live in Ringwood VIC, burglary happens here as well

Sorry I can't type Chinese coz all our laptops and IPad are gone.
Someone broke into my house through the window yesterday afternoon when we are away for only 1.5 hours. There were always someone at home in the last 2 months. We thought we had been watched coz it happened within such a short period of time. But the police said the thieves never spend time watching houses coz there're too many houses to choose. And he said the thieves are not targeting Chinese people either. They just walk / drive around, when they saw a house that the cars are away they will try their luck.
The police also mention that the area I lives in is always quiet and safe but same thing happened to the house in the last couple of days. They believe it's done by the same person. So I would like to remind people who live in Ringwood to lock your doors / windows properly when you are not at home.
