【SYD】求助新移民自己开通电、气账户（有太阳能板的情况）

我们刚刚自己take了房子，需要自己开通电/气的账户，我看了AGL和energy aus的网站，他们都有很多plan；想问下：
1.像 我们这种租房子的，是不是最好选择no exit fee apply的plan呢？
2.房东家有太阳能，是不是electricity plan就不用考虑discount多的了？
3.自己直接在网站上sign up就算开通了吗？

我想开通AGL的plan，家里有太阳能板，我看AGL的网站上写If you have solar panels, these online offers do not apply. Please call us on 131 245 for details on our best available offers for you.但是我打他们客服又没有solar plan这个选项，我该怎么开通呢？

1. Normally, the plans are two years contract, otherwise you don't have the discounts.

3. You can apply online, there should be an application form you need to fill out online and then hit the submit button. They will send you a welcome package to your address within two weeks. If you don't get the welcome package for long time, call them to ask.

Yes, no exit fees. You'll be given $30 bonus every 12 months and one-off $30 on your first bill for both electricity and gas.
If you are sure you won't use AGL for over 1 year, you can choose this one. But if you're going to use the same provider for long period, 3% + $30 is not better than over 10% discount deals. Because when you move home, no matter what product you choose, if you are still using the same provider, they won't charge you the exit fees, but relocation fees will apply anyway.

Relocation fees will be charged anyway if you move. The exit fees is payable if you break a term contract of a product. Say if you sign a two years contract with AGL and within the two years you move to a new place, but you keep using the same product with AGL at your new home. You will need to pay relocation fees only to AGL when you move. However if you want to switch to Energy Aus when you move, you need to pay exit fees to AGL and a initial fees to Energy Aus. The initial fees and relocation fees are normally the same, which is the special reading fees of your meters.
