Details - indicate the location of all accessible timbers and other materials showing signs of attack, and a description of any
termite workings found:
REMAINS OF AN OLD MUD LEAD FOUND TO A TREE IN THE YARD.
RECOMMENDATION Where evidence of damage to building timbers exists, competent advice (e.g. from a licensed and
practicing building contractor) should be obtained to determine the extent of any structural damage and as to the need or
otherwise for rectification or repair work. See also Item 3.5 ‘Frequency of Future Inspections’ recommendation.
6. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
NO LIVE TERMITE ACTIVITY FOUND TO ANY AREAS CLEARLY INSPECTED & FULLY ACCESSIBLE,
WOOD DECAY FOUND TO THE FASCIA BOARD, FENCE LINE AND TIMBER IN THE LANDSCAPING,
CLEAR THE EDGE OF THE SLAB TO A DEPTH OF 75MM WHERE POSSIBLE, LIVE BORERS FOUND
TO THE TREES IN THE BACK YARD, SOME ELEVATED MOISTURE METER READINGS FOUND TO THE
SUBFLOOR AREA, REMOVE THE STORED ITEMS UNDER THE HOUSE, CLEAR THE WEEP HOLES AS
THEY ARE PARTLY COVERED, MONITOR THE TREES AND STUMPS, REMOVE THE TIMBER IN THE
LANDSCAPING AND CARRY OUT YEARLY TERMITYE INSPECTIONS. |
