You need to contact the water company (if you are in Melbourne , it will be either City West Water, South East Water or Yarra Valley water) to provide them the property address, ask them during the period that you had a tenant at the property, who was billed for usage.
If your parents are moving in to the property, and if you are happy to have the whole bill (ie service, rates and usage) in yourname, instead of putting your parents as tenant, then it will all come in one bill, they will only charge you the current rates, any usage unpaid before in old tenants account, or if they made error in billing wrong people, they can reserve the right of not billing you. |
