Kitchen in the center?!

A house ticks all my boxes but one, kitchen sitting in the center because I hate the cooking smell spreading into each corner of the living place. Exhaust fan can work but not that well during frying a dish. I am hesitating to show my interest or not. Welcome to throw your opinions. Attached is the floorplan. Thanks ahead.

不过你院子不小，还有棚子，炒菜或许可以在棚子里搭个煤气罐，弄个防风灶即可。
爆炒之类的，火力还大，做没油烟的东西可以在厨房。我就是这样，感觉还蛮好，澳洲嘛，不到院子里炒菜多浪费

还好是一层，油烟机管子从房顶出。两层的话都不靠外墙，通都通不出

Please consider your neighbours before you decide to build your kitchen in yard.
Think this idea in other's point of view. What would you be like if your neighbour always cook smelly dishes in the yard? No offence, but some dishes are...
We might think Chinese food is the best. But this is Australia, our cook is actually make no difference to them as Indian or Thai Cuisine. Once or twice a week is fine. If this is everyday thing, it may result a complaint. Same as if your neighbour BBQ everyday and makes you never want to use your clothline in the yard, what would you do?
You should consider shut the bedroom doors when cooking, install a powerful rangehood...Plus add another ducted out fan for your laundry room.
Open kitchen always looks nice, but not that practical to traditional Chinese family. It is just culture difference.
