A house is scheduled to auction within 3 weeks. But the agent mentioned I could get it prior to the auction. I made an offer yesterday and got a call this morning for my preapproval and broker's details. His explanation was I need to register if I intend to bid this house at auction. I frankly said I couldn't promise because there are other houses to view this weekend. Then, he called back and asked me to visit his office today or tomorrow to sign a form and then he would present it to his vendor.
Honestly, my preapproval is $450K, but my offer on this house is $375K because a similar house on the same street was sold a couple of weeks ago at $370K. As this one is partially renovated, I think mine is reasonable.
Is it ok to show him my preapproval and provide my broker's details? I don't want to visit his office to be pushed to raise my offer. Can I send a scanned signed form to him? |
