Basically, the 2nd interview is a behavioral one as you are told by the HR. And also, its the most important one which will pretty much decide if you can survive eventually. :)
The basic procedure is the interviewer(sernior manager or senior excecutive) will ask you to tell about a number of scenarios where you have demonstrated your capabilites to solve problems and resolve conflicts. and the interviewer will drill down to evey detail to further understand how you behave, how you feel and how you react against those scenarios.
Just bear in mind that you should talk about what YOU HAVE DONE, not what YOU WILL DO in those scenarios.
So, all in all, the key to crack this one is to recall all the projects you have done, the problems you have solved and how you worked around the problems within those projects. Again, be expected tobe asked very detailed questions. So, if possible, don't make up any fake scenarios. Otherwise, you wil be shamed, seriously. ;)
Some possible questions:
1. what is the most chanllenging project you ever done? why challening and what problem you met in it? how you felt at that time and how you solved it? did you come upw tih any other alternatives? how did you compare these alternatives and why you picked up the one you used? ..bla bla bla..very detailed
2. A time when you met a conflict and how you revoled it. Wil be asked in a similair manner again. Be prepared.
So, you can see, once you have some examples to react, you'll be better off in the interview eventually. Its all about telling your stories and convince your interviewer. :) |
