另开新帖讨论：借车给朋友，朋友开车肇事（假设朋友负全责）车主究竟要担当什么责任？

根据http://www.lawassist.lawaccess.n ... rs_and_drivers.html举的例子：父亲让儿子开自己的车子去买报纸，儿子在途中肇事，父亲作为车主，要负连带责任。但如果纯粹是朋友借车，朋友肇事，作为车主负什么责？
听到一个说法是：只要能够有充分的证明当时是你朋友在开车并提供朋友的相关信息就可以了，不知道可靠与否。该网站上对于此问题也只是建议寻求法律建议：You should get legal advice if:you are involved in an accident where the driver is not the owner of the car, and you want to start a court case to recover cost of repairs to your vehicle
you were driving someone else's car and you caused an accident, as you may not be responsible for paying for the damage to the other car
you lent your car to someone who then caused an accident, as you may be responsible for paying for the damage to the other car.

本帖最后由 nvy 于 2014-6-28 15:21 编辑 车主是最终责任人。车子造成的人身伤害，财产损失都是由车主负法律责任。当然，车主有权追究驾驶者的经济赔偿。

赔偿是车主赔的，不是驾驶者赔的。车主赔完对方以后，再问驾驶者要钱。
