Hi Raimy,
May I ask you a question?
I bought a VIC off-the-plan property, so I should have a stamp duty discount. However, when I recieved my loan document, it has full stamp duty on my new property and also have a mortgage stamp duty for my old property in NSW.
Base on my understanding, is it becasue bank does not know I have stamp duty dicount and they add mortgage stamp duty due to their system setting. (In NSW, there is no mortgage stamp duty ).
Should I sign the loan document? If I sign it, does it mean I must pay for it? Then they will refund to me, or they will charge the exact amount when the property settle? Do you have any advice?
