Help ! - Can i request and enforce my neighbor to cut/prune trees over to my blo

Sorry no chinese input system installed in my laptop
The trees from my neighbors have grown larger with shade blocking the light and sun going into my house.
May i understand if i can request them to cut back and prune the tree branches so my house can have more sun and light?
To be honest i hate the big trees being too close to the house..
Please help ......

this is the unreasonable part. The trees might be so tall that block all the light and i cannt do anything about it as long as its not over the fence?
Also what about they also block the views as well? Thanks again.

unreasonable depends which angle you see it from.
It is also very unreasonable if my neighbor ask me to cut the tree coz it block his view

At the end, who is paying for the cost? If you are willing to pay the cost, there may be chance that he could accept it.
If you are thinking at his own cost... YES, but only in your dream.

just come up with a plan that some tree poisons are to be thrown over the fence

if the three dies, and council knows, they will stand a same size same height post at where the original tree is, and plant a new tree and take away the post until the new tree is as the same size & height. (this has been reported in today tonight before)...
and if your neighbor's kids got poisoned by your tree poisons, you may never see the view again. better live with it or move.
or go the legal way which is putting in an application to council and seek your neighbor's support to trim or even remove the tree.
