“This small gallery offers visitors a free program of five exhibitions per year about Melbourne’s culture, historical, and artistic life, interpreted mainly through council’s Art + Heritage.”
“The newsboy was familiar figure on Melbourne’s streets from the late 1800s to the 1970s, and has been etched into popular memories of the city of old.The exhibition captures the experiences and representations of Melbourne’s newsboys, the societies and clubs formed to foster their wellbeing, and the regulatory framework of juvenile labor in the city.”
