Tried to figure out the off peak time so that I can save electricity while using dishwasher. I checked in on Red Energy website, but they have shown the time in 3 categories. PRICING DEFINITIONS FOR
ELECTRICITY CUSTOMERS
NEW SOUTH WALES
Following are definitions for the price periods which apply to the energy consumption as shown on
your bill.

ESSENTIAL ENERGY:
Peak Period: From 7.00am–9.00am and 5.00pm–8.00pm on weekdays.
Shoulder Period: From 9.00am–5.00pm and 8.00pm–10.00pm on weekdays.
Time of Use Off-Peak Period: All other times.
Residential Controlled Load 1:
Note: This tariff is not available
for the top boost element of a
two element water heater for
new connections.
Applicable to loads such as water heating, swimming pool operation,
pumping etc. Loads must be permanently connected. Supply will be made
available for 5 to 9 hours overnight on weekdays and all hours on
weekends except where the load is controlled by a time clock.
Residential Controlled Load 2:
Applicable to loads such as water heating, swimming pool operation,
pumping etc. Loads must be permanently connected. Supply will be made
available for 10 to 18 hours per day on weekdays and all hours on
weekends except where the load is controlled by a time clock.

ENDEAVOUR ENERGY:
Peak Energy: From 1 pm - 8 pm on business days.
Shoulder Energy:
From 7 am - 1 pm and from 8 pm - 10 pm on business days
7am - 10pm on weekends and public holidays.
Time of Use Off-Peak Energy: From 10 pm - 7 am on every day.
Off Peak 1:
The supply of electricity is controlled by means of Endeavour Energy’s
equipment so that supply will not usually be available between 7 am and
10 pm Monday to Friday.
Off Peak 2:
The supply of electricity is controlled by means of Endeavour Energy’s
equipment so that supply will be available for restricted periods generally
not exceeding 17 hours in any period of 24 hours.

1 is for electricity supply that is usually available for a six hour
period between 10pm and 7am.
Controlled Load 2:
Applicable to separately metered loads such as storage water
heaters, thermal storage space heaters and other approved
appliances.
Availability of electricity is ‘controlled’ by Ausgrid. Controlled Load
2 is for electricity supply that is usually available for a sixteen hour
period including more than 6 hours between 8pm and 7am and
more than 4 hours between 7am and 5pm. |
