About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for Software Engineers to join our Melbourne team. Ideal move for someone that has recently completed a graduate program and is looking to expand their experience and responsibilities. You will be actively engaged in planning, designing, coding and testing of software components. You will work within a team of exceptionally talented engineers through the development lifecycle on mission critical air traffic management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
?Spec, design, code, unit testing and functional testing of software components in accordance with Engineering Change Requests (ECRs).
?Implement corrections arising from Problem Change Request (PCRs).
?Report on work in progress and Work plans for ECRs to be updated.
?Support to the Solution Team (System Engineering, Integration and Verification &
?Validation teams).
?Assist in specification and technical document reviews such as Technical Workshops, ECR reviews, Test procedure reviews.
?Proactively recommend Software component changes to improve efficiency, reliability and stability.
?Participate in Design Workshops, Decision Analysis and Resolution (DAR) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when requested.
Key Skills and Experience:
?Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline
?Strong JAVA development and debugging experience building large scale systems or distributed systems
?Experience with XPath/XQuery/XML Schema development
?Software design experience
?Self- starter with strong verbal and written communication skills
Desirable Experience:
?Eclipse SDE knowledge
? JBoss/Database experience
?UI development
?Linux environment experience
? JUnit test development experience
?Java Swing knowledge
