Oriental Merchant is a leading importer of Asian groceries in Australia, supplying the major supermarkets and numerous independent grocers with hundreds of different products. We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to work in our Logistics Department, an important role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
Processing, allocating and invoicing ordersAnswering phone queries from customersLiaising with delivery personnel and sales representativesAssisting with the booking of transport companiesHelping prepare management reportsFiling and general office duties
We are looking for all-rounder candidates who can demonstrate:
Experience with administrative processes in a fast-paced, detail-focused workplace like oursBasic accounting skillsCompetency in using Excel and OutlookExperience in a customer service roleFluency in both English and Chinese languages (required by many of our customers)
Previous experience in an import/distribution workplace, especially in the FMCG industry, will be highly regarded.
