TheRole

Use of MYOB suite, QuickBooks, Xero and BGL

Exposure to Xero Accounting Software

Previous experience in Business Services would be preferable butnot essential.

Must have recently completed a degree in a Bachelors of Commerce(or other relevant field)
·
Must have excellent communication and organisation skills
·

This large and privately owned Financial Planning Business basedin Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs has been in operation for over 18 yearsassisting Melbourne families with build their dream of financial independence.
Their clients are extremely varied, from individuals to business owners whorequire highly tailored strategic advice
Working in this business, you will enjoy a friendly professional environmentand a role that is busy and challenging.
Your Key responsibilities will include:
? Initailly writing some basic RoA's for client annual reviews
? Gradually moving on to writing single strategy SOA's such as super-roll oversand insurance
? Within 3 months you should be writing some complex SOA's which will bequality checked a Senior Financial Planner who is responsible for your trainingand development
? Contacting clients when appropriate to ask for further information necessaryto complete their financial plan
The successful applicant will be highly organised and confident atcommunicating with a variety of parties such as Insurance companies and FundManagers, as well as clients. You will have a positive, can-do attitude, strongmulti-tasking skills and an inquisitive mind. You will also have excellentattention to detail including strong numerical skills. Advanced MS Officeskills, particularly Excel, are essential, as are good business acumen and theability to use your initiative to solve business related issues.
A minimum of a commerce/finance or similar degree and RG146 compliance arehighly desirable
Training is provided so we are open minded to applicants without actualparaplanning experience, but your can do attitude is essential
