My office is located at Crows Nest.
I've been looking for accommodations at Chadswood, Lane Cove , Crows Nest, and North Sydney. I am sure I have more options.
The thing is there is no train station at Crows Nest.  So I would like to get a place that I can get to work less than 30 minutes on bus and also have access to a
train station so I can get around if I like.
[What sort of Sys Admin? Windows or Linux? Sys admin is not a bad choice]
My company is autally a tourism company. We are immigrating from Linux to Windows 2003. Basicly I would be taking care of web sites (e-commerce) and LAN
email system and databases sort of thing

Crows Nest is expensive, unfortunately. And its surroundings too. Luckily buses are abundant around this area, so if you pick somewhere accessible only by bus the rent can be a lot cheaper than properties close to train station or shopping centers. Does your company provide parking?
Linux to 2003. Hmmmm. I think your work translates into good work experience on your Resume. So as Hugh said, do it for a while then see if you should move on. There are lots of opportunities in Sydney popping up at this moment.

I don't know, that is current admin's dicision.
There is no parking for me. but I know that my co-worker can get free car park 10 minutes walking distance from the office

Sure, and the reason they do this? Because Microsoft still dominates.

maybe the price of using some linux distribution and windows are similar, then the management level think big company will be better
