My experience with Carnival Spirit as a passenger , was very disappointing . I will start with , departure in Sydney should have been 6.30pm . We left Sydney at 10.00pm , in the dark . We get to our first port , and we hear that a passenger has pass away . On our way to the next Island , and the ship has to turn around because there was a storm , fair enough . So the next day they informed us that we would be going to three different Islands . Now we were meant to visit five Islands , we only visited four . Not happy about that . A bride was meant to get married in Wala , that didn't happen because the of the storm . Our next Island was Isle Of Pines , a beautiful Island . A person was snorkeling on the beach , and was bitten by a sea snake and died . On board the ship you meet some really nice people . Then I heard another passenger past away , they found him in his cabin dead . After leaving our last port New Caledonia , we had been sailing for five hours and the captain made an anouncement . Attention passengers , we have had to turn the ship around , because a passenger is very ill . Then we get back to Australia a heard the passenger passed away . I was also disappointed in the entertainment . There wasn't enough of it , especially around the pool areas . The drink prices are very miss leading . Two thousand six hundred passengers , and half of them were children . The daycare center for the children on the ship wasn't that great , they only offered a couple of hours a day . Passengers on the ship were getting charged for things they never purchase. So you would have to check your account daily . The food wasn't anything to rave about . Bingo was a rip off , the highest jackpot was only $800.00 . By the end of thr cruise there were alot of angry passengers . My first cruise was with Royal Caribbean Rapsody Of the Seas , and I can not fault them . I was so happy with Rapsody of the Seas , I enjoyed everything on board . If I had to rate them from one to ten , I would give them a ten . I would not go on Carnival Spirit again , even if it was for free . I will defiantly continue to cruise as I enjoyed it with Radsody Of The Seas . Royal Caribean are an international company , and I am going to stick with them . Never again with Carnival Spirit .
