跟builder签了建房合约合，还要等多久才开正式开工？build可以通过画图改图等理由拖延动工时间吗？

depends how long to get the building permit and if they no finish on time they need to pay u according to contract.you need to read the contract very carefully to mak sure you are protected.

You specify on your contract when do you want the building work to start. If it's not started on time, how much compensation you want to be paid.
