刚上COUNCIL网查了，pine 不在Indigenous trees的清单上，但有这么一句：
Any trees identified to be retained as a condition of development consent are protected.
不太明白，是不是树健康就不能看砍啊？
有没有住HORNSBY COUNCIL区的有砍过PINE的？请问是不是还是要申请啊？这个区这种树很多，这条街就好几棵，而且棵棵参天大树

This means if you have a DA approved by council and if the tree has to be kept as part of the DA approval condition, you can not remove the tree.
Yes, as the SRMO said, you can remove any trees if they are not native trees and not on the tree protection register. The best is to ask Hornsby council.
For 30 tall tree, it will easily cost you $2000, depending on the access to the tree, etc.
