This is correct. If your council requires application for remove this type trees, the house owner is not permitted to engage with any contractor to touch the tree without prior permission. Some council's regulation stated any breach of such rule will be fined up to 1M. You must contact council before removing the tree, especially it is a gumtree with height over 5 metre. Of course, different council has different regulations. |
