Demolition of semi-detached house
Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with demolition of a semi-detached house.
I will be redeveloping the site and wish to demolish the house. As the house is attached to the neighbours house, I'm guessing that a structural engineer will need to get involved ?

Well in any development/demolition a building permit needs to be issued before any works can be done. So yes, an engineer and a building surveyor is needed to make sure you don't tear down the neighbour's wall too.

And you'll need to make sure you get a Dilapidation Report on the existing condition of your neighbour's house before doing anything otherwise you will get blamed for every crack in their house.
