INSURANCE USUALLY ONLY COVERS DAMAGE CAUSED BY COVERED INSURED EVENTS, SUCH AS FLOOD, BUSHFIRE, EARTHQUAKE, HOUSE FIRE, WATER DAMAGE, THEFT AND BURGLARY, RIOTS ETC.  
In Product Disclosure Statement it would usually states something such as:
We do not cover: loss or damage caused by erosion, vibration,subsidence, landslip, landslide, mudslide,collapse, shrinkage or any other earth movement, but we will cover damage to the building caused by a landslide or subsidence that occurs within 72 hours of, and directly because of, flood and not because of erosion over time, structural fault or design fault.
Hope it helps. Or else you can call the hotline or check a few different companies' PDS and get some better idea before buying.
