very bad solicitor/lawyer

bought a house. almost not settle on time coz the lawyer found the bank did not process and sent document of loan to him at last minutes. Both the lawyer and me chase and push the bank fix the day before settle day and we were successful. Now the lawyer charge us extra 100 dollar for the bank delay document.
I am very upset. Why did not the lawyer chase early? I think it is his responsibility to fix but why did he still charge us extra money?

You can try. Pay your lawyer to ask for that.
