上了底漆面漆才付着的紧嘛，我建议你别弄，到时候弄个开头，整的到处都是漆，骑虎难下

You don't have to but if you apply stain without sand everything down the color of the end result will not be uniform which does not look very good. Clear varnish can go on top without issue it just make everything look new and fresh.
If the original is oil based go with oil based as well for new paint. Water based varnish is not very common as well.

建议你去Bunnings买罐装的Redwood或 Mahogany木色（根据你自己的偏好选一种色），再用工业酒精释稀一倍以上后薄薄地刷在旧木墙裙或木边框上（动作要快，不要反复刷第二道），干后再上vanish二遍。我家里的这么处理后，效果比直接刷vanish要好得多。
