We are an innovative and highly entrepreneurial, Australian owned Human Resources Company. As a result of continued steady growth of our business, we are now in need of key resources that have the capability to understand our business and develop into a key accounting resource, supporting this and 2 other entities, with combined revenue of $15M.
This role is a development role and will have the capacity to move to Assistant Accountant status based on how well the incumbent performs and the potential they show in this role over the initial 12 months. We are not interested in senior accountants applying for this role, more so focused on emerging talent with the right attitude and behaviours. Our business and culture is very unique and non-conventional, so those seeking the mantra of a large corporate should not waste your time.
This role is demanding and will require regular work outside of standard business hours conversely; you will be exposed to all facets of the business and have the opportunity to learn more than you could ever imagine as will be the testament of the incumbent Finance Manager, who started in this capacity some 3 years ago now.
To be considered for this position - ALL applicants must satisfy the following key selection criteria:
? Possess formal Business Qualifications in Accounting - we are not interested in overseas students who have completed a Master's Degree.
? ALL Applicants MUST BE Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents - NO Exceptions.
? Have the motivation and desire to undertake a CA or CPA program in your own time with your Mentor our External Accounting partner and internal Finance Manager
? Have Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, supported by similar skills in the use of MYOB Premier V19 or higher. Exposure to FastTrack Recruitment Software would be an advantage - but not critical.
? Be prepared and understand that a key focus of this role - EVERY WEEK - is the processing of the On-Hire payroll involving in excess of 250 people across every industry sector, with strong Award and EBA Interpretation required - or aptitude to learn very quickly.
? Exceptional Eye for Detail and 100% Accuracy required with Payroll and all Data Entry Activities - including Accounting Software and associated files.
? Be a Passionate Learner with a willingness to take on a diverse range of work, which at times will not be accounting related, for e.g. Tender Submissions, Rates Proposals, Procurement etc.
? Daily Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Management of Factoring Facility and preparation of all Compliance Payments is expected.
As you grow within the role, the scale and complexity of this position will also, with a clear career path to move into the role of Assistant Accountant and potentially Finance Manager - all based on the quality and accuracy of your work, attitude and behaviours. You must be committed and take great pride in the quality of your work and prepared to support the business in all circumstances.
