1Project Accounting tasks including project budget and performance management
- setting up project budget can start from what is the projected revenue and associated costs, then reviewing budget on a regular basis based on a set of KPIs, then re-forecast based on current variances
2Project Analysis – Revenue & Billing arrangements / ROI Analysis
- You may have time billing which bills the revenue based on how many billable hours are put against the project or billing by milestone which you bill customer based on the % of completion as per contract. or sometimes can be pre-billing, you need to have exposure on WIP, deferred revenue etc.
3WIP and accruals for month end management accounting
- WIP basically means unbilled revenue, my old company will do jnl like Dr WIP Cr Unbilled revenue, then Dr Unbilled Revenue Cr Revenue when actual billing occurred. Accrual is very general, can be anythign relating to the project, you can either accrue based on actual or acrue based on budget, etc |
