I haven't got early mt4 from metaquote. but, early one from broker - fxcm, iBfx. go this site, russian site

http://www.forex-tsd.com/   post request, they may have.In Weekend,  I go to search or email somebody to see if any possible.They introduce array, etc into mt4 like mt5 start(),  in difference way.But, when mt4 run, it always do update check, and force you to update.
One good in new mt4 is no de-compiled to run, very good.

多谢多谢。俺是有几个老版的MT4但都不是原版，原版metatrader4.com里的option可以scan server (不知道以前有木有这个功能），这样就可以加入你现在的broker的account.其他非原版都被化过妆了，改不了。

Mladen of forexTSD  gave an explain. He is one of the best of mt4 expert on the earth.

If an indicator is triggered by a tick and do lot of loop calculation, then, all system will be dragged down. I found this issue before. So, I use new bar trigger. That EA generate offline chart is tick trigger, and do save bar data into HD disk. This may be a problem in my mt4. When I remove all my charts, mt4 seem not bad in speed?  600+ build mt4 is large in size, 9,340kb, old one was 3,000kb.

可能是懒惰的缘故，俺一直都是用现成的indi and EAs.从未深入到coding，据说并不难，但实在是精力有限。幸好这里有高手帮助，深感荣幸。
感觉600以后，MT4计算太过复杂。人们总是把简单的事物复杂化，追求所谓完美，其实物极必反。
MT4是店大欺人，跟苹果之流一样，用户没有选择。俺真的不想为了速度桌上同时放几台电脑，太复杂太专业了。
俺只偶尔用过offline chart， 一个back tester(同时可以看两个time frames),另一个是 S12 十二秒图。
有空会仔细看看Mladen的posts。娱乐一下，几年前看下面的录像大笑，现在偶尔看着僵住的屏幕也会有相似的暴怒情绪产生，幸好不会那么严重：
