Pathology
Description

This qualification covers workers who undertake the collection of blood and other pathology specimens under supervision. It should be noted that this qualification does not cover collection of a range of specimens for specialised testing, collection of arterial blood gases or team leadership and training. This qualification is suited to Australian Apprenticeship pathways.

Duration

25 Weeks

Entry Requirements:

To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, participants would need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at Certificate III level, this can be demonstrated via the following:
?Completion of Year 10.
?Achieve a minimum score of 14 points in  Level 2 Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test.

Participants must also be aged 18 or above.

Additional Requirements:

Successful applicants must be adequately vaccinated

Pre-requisites:

There are no pre-requisites for this qualification.

Pathways into the qualification:

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:
?with vocational experience assisting in a range of support roles without a formal qualification

CHC30708 Certificate III in Children's Services
Description

This qualification covers workers who use organisation policies, procedures and individual children's profiles to plan activities and provide care to children, facilitating their leisure and play and enabling them to achieve their developmental outcomes. Depending on the setting, workers may work under direct supervision or autonomously.

Duration

17 Weeks

Entry Requirements:

To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, participants would need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at Certificate III level, this can be demonstrated via the following:
?Completion of Year 10.
?Achieve a minimum score of 14 points Level 2 Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test.

Candidates must undertake National Police check and Working with Children Check before commencing work placement.

CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care
Description

This qualification addresses work primarily in residential facilities  under direct or regular supervision within clearly defined organisation guidelines and service plans:

These workers:
?Carry out activities to maintain personal care and/or other activities of living for people in an aged care setting
?Carry out activities related to an individualised plan
?Report directly to a supervisor and are not responsible for other workers

Duration

17 weeks

Entry Requirements:

To ensure an appropriate learning opportunity, participants would need to demonstrate a capacity to undertake study at Certificate III level, this can be demonstrated via the following:
?Completion of Year 10.
?Achieve a minimum score of 14 points Level 2 Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) test.

Candidates must undertake National Police check and make a Commonwealth of Australia Statutory Declaration before commencing work placement.

This qualification covers workers in children's services who are responsible for planning, implementing and managing programs in early childhood services, in accordance with licensing, accreditation and duty of care requirements. At this level:
