payroll refused to answer a question regarding my income from my lender

I lodged my loan application yesterday. Our payroll just told me she got a call from my lender to verify the information provided on my application form. It sounded ok until she mentioned she didn't answer the question regarding my annual income because as a finance professional, she is not supposed to disclose employees' income to anybody else unless a written consent is presented to her.
I am becoming worried. Do I need to tell my lender it's easy to confirm my annual income by my fortnight salary multiplied by 26 weeks? They have two of recent payslips as supporting documents.
